Dave Lloyd is an artist living and working in Chicago. Describing his inspiration to create, Lloyd says, “my underlying motivation is to integrate art with life and defend against its division.” His academic training began in 2008 at Elgin Community College, continued at Northern Illinois University, and ended at University of Chicago in 2015 where he studied Art History, Theory, and Practice. His post-academic professional training took place as an assistant to another artist between 2015 and 2023 during which time he developed his own artistic practice. Lloyd’s first gallery exhibition was at Regards (Chicago, IL) in May 2025.
