2024 Jurors
Ionit Behar is the Curator at DePaul Art Museum and the co-founder and co-director of BeharXSchachman.
She has curated a number of independent projects, most recently “Selva Aparicio: In Memory Of” and a large-scale public art project at O’Hare Airport. Behar holds a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Illinois at Chicago, an M.A. in Art History, Theory, and Criticism from the School of the Art Institute, and a B.A. in Inter-disciplinary Arts from Tel Aviv University.
Bana Kattan is the Curator and Associate Head of Exhibitions at Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. She is a researcher and curator with experience working in the Arab world and the United States.
Prior to her time at the Guggenheim, she was the Pamela Alper associate curator at the MCA Chicago and the curator at the New York University Abu Dhabi Art Gallery. She received her master of arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2011 and is a recipient of the Barjeel Global Fellowship (2018-19) and a CAA Getty International Program Grant (2015).
Denny Mwaura is a curator-writer based in Chicago. He is the Assistant Director at University of Illinois, Chicago Gallery 400. He has organized and supported numerous exhibitions including the forthcoming, The Mask of Prosperity (2024). He is the recipient of the Schiff Foundation Fellowship for Critical Architectural Writing, an award granted by the Department of Architecture and Design at the Art Institute of Chicago. He received an MA in Modern and Contemporary Art History from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
